Reflection on My First Year of College
Semester 1:
Classes that I took:
English 1a: This is your college-level English class that is about reading writing. This class really surprised me. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. English has always been my least favorite subject. I have always struggled with reading and writing. (The writing part, I know you know, lol) One of the books we read was The Book of Joy; if you have not read it yet, I would. It shows the best of humanity. It references religion a lot, so I don't know how much you would get out if it is not interesting. It has perspectives from three different religions, Buddhism, Jewish, and Christianity. The other book we read was Blood and Earth. It shows; the opposite, the worst in humanity. I was not too fond of that one. For the class, we also did a research paper. That was a cool experience. I have a research page on my site because of it. 
By the way, if you do not have Grammarly, get it. I get premium thought my college, but even the free version is great. 
Math 30 (College Level Algebra): Really like this class and learned so much. For the class, I took notes by paper, and that worked for that class. It was a Monday, Wednesday, Friday Class; the best part was there was no lab. It was just a part of the class. I am actually taking the same professor again for Calculus 1. If you have a firm grasp of Algebra 2 in college, then you will be okay
Topics we went over
Introduction to Marketing: this should be a whole post in itself, but I learned so much from this class. I also took handwritten notes for this class. If you would like to know more about this topic let me know.
It was a lot of content. I want to do a massive post on all the topics to be a reminder for myself. 
Introduction to Nutrition: I was surprised with this class as well. I learned a lot. The gist is that as long as you consume in moderation, then you are okay.
Sugar, carbs, and fats are not killing you.
Only use supplements if you are deficient in the vitamin or nutrient.
Rice and beans, tomatoes and pasta, are examples of food combinations that make a complete protein.
It should be a lifestyle, not a diet.
The three components of a lifestyle change are Nutrition, exercise, and psychology.
The closer it is to nutritional science, the better. 
History 7 (Up until reconstruction): This was a super hard class, but one of the things that I remember is using multiple textbooks. I know that sounds crazy, but you will get more than one perspective. With history, it is super important, but I think that same could be said for most subjects. I gave adopted that to other classes like chemistry.
 Overall, it was a huge class load. Some of the classes were easier than others. It was the sheer amount that got me. Trying to focus on five different subjects was hard. 
Semester 2:
Classes I took:
Introduction to Logic: This class was not what I expected. I thought it was just going to be just fallacies, but it was more than that. I think I might do a mini post on it. Again let me know if you would like to know more.
Introduction to Computer Science (CS1): This has been one of the hardest classes I have taken. It was so over my head, at least I was able to pass it.
It was cool to make programs to calculate certain things, but it was crazy. It was a combination of art and science, just like cosmetics chemistry.
Trigonometry: This was another really hard class, but I am glad I took it and that it is over.

Do tons of examples.
Doing your homework is not studying, do separate problems. I usually find other textbooks.
