Calculating the Active Content of Extracts

In this post, we are going to be talking about how to find the actual percentage of the extract. If you did not know just like surfactants most extracts are a mixture of a solvent like glycerin, butylene glycol, propylene glycol, or alcohol, Extract, Most are not alcohol due to consumer perception. Extracts are formulas too! Generally the process is creating a concentration for the blend that you want. I have seen 5%, 10%, 20% and full extracts. Then you combine the material and either wait for a certain amount of time or you can gently heat it. After you have an extract. I will make a post on how to make extract but this is the simplified explanation.
