Anhydrous Salicylic Acid and L-Ascorbic Acid Serum

This product is based on solubility chemistry. Both L-Ascorbic Acid and Salicylic Acid are soluble in glycols such as propylene glycol, butylene glycol, glycerin, propanediol 1,3. With some simple heating you can dissolve both.  L-ascorbic acid is notoriously hard to work with. It needs a low pH to work and it degrades within a month. By using propylene glycol, we do not have that same issue. There is no pH and there is no water to react with it.
