Emulsion Blender: Cleaning The Aftermath
In this post, I am going to be sharing with you a quick tip that will make cleaning your emulsion blender easier to clean.
Montanov 68
In this post, I will share an ingredient guide for Montanov 68. I have never formulated with this ingredient, but I thought it would be interesting to look at. As it is a liquid crystal emulsifier, like Olivem 1000.
Lighter Body Scrub
So I really like the body scrub that I made in this post (link). But I wanted to make a lighter version for summer. So I am going to alter the formulation. I would also recommend reading my post on altering formulas for summer.
Introduction to Organic Chemistry
In this post, I am going to introduce the topic of organic chemistry. I know that a lot of people shut off when they see chemistry as it is a hard subject but I will make it easy to understand and give you the context that you need to understand.
What should I look for in a Scale?
I have had this question asked a couple of times, and that is what should we look for in a scale? If you have not read my post on the equipment that I have here is the link.
Babassu Lip Balm (Free Formulation)
Frankly, I was in need of a lip balm and just threw this formulation together from other formulas that I have made. The base oil I chose was Safflower Oil. I have a post on the difference between sunflower and safflower oil, and you can read that here (Link)
Ingredient Guide: Polawax™NF
New Ingredient Guide for Polawax. This is a great emulsifier for beginners. It is quite foolproof. Very similar to emulsifying wax NF.
Increasing the thermal stability of our Formulations
In this post, I am going to he talking about thermal stability. I have a couple of posts on stability. I would encourage you to read those.
Aloe Stock Solution
In this post, I am going to be sharing with you my Aloe Vera Stock Solution. This formulation is very simple. It is just measure, mix, and package. It honestly could be used on it's own as a mist but you can also use it to replace some of the water in your formulas. I know it is going to be tempting to use in every formula at a high concentration but you do not want to do that Aloe Vera is an electrolyte and can really mess up ingredients such as carbomer and a lot of emulsifiers.
