In this post, I am going to be making it clear the products that you will not be seeing from me on any of the blogs. This is going to be short and sweet. There is certain products that should be left to trained professionals to make. When we make products like the ones I am about it mention they have a large risk if they do not woke. They are also some that are just not easily to formulate and require years of experience and good equipment. For example mineral sunscreen require that you properly disperse them in a solvent or you will get uneven coverage. Intimacy Product: Just don’t they are sensitive areas that you do not want to mess with. Also not no mention how that formulas will affect other things if you know what I mean. Pet Products: Again this is not an easy subject and a totally different animal. (pun intended) Baby Products: Quite unethical. Chemical Peels: For trained professional only. A lot can go wrong. First you have to have a really good understanding of the anatomy of the skin. Second you need to know how to properly apply them so that you do not burn the crap out of your face. And last you need to make sure that the pH is correct, the ingredients will get where you want them too, ensure that the client will be comfortable, etc. Just stick with a exfoliating toner and use it twice a week. Drugs: Illegal For example using the percentage that makes a cosmetics into a drug. Sunscreen: Way too hard for the home crafter to make, so much could go wrong. You need to have adequate testing to claim any type of spf. And I want to add that just because something has sunscreen ingredients does not mean that you can claim that there is sunscreen in the product. There probably is some but SPF is not something that you can calculate. I have seen calculators but what they do not account for the base and the quality of the materials themselves. For example you may have a very fine zinc dispersion while you may buy the same dispersion form a different supplier but, it not the same. I hope this post was super clear.
